Keeping up with all the different directions Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the Trump-Russia ties has taken can be difficult. So can predicting where the investigation will go next.
Recently it was reported that Mueller has a “Top 10 List” of names that he is pursuing as leads in the investigation. In regards to that, Axion has reviewed a Grand Jury subpoena that Robert Mueller’s team sent to a witness last month.
It would appear that Mueller is subpoenaing all communications, including emails, texts, handwritten notes, and other miscellany that this particular witness sent and received regarding the following people:
- Carter Page
- Corey Lewandowski
- Donald J. Trump
- Hope Hicks
- Keith Schiller
- Michael Cohen
- Paul Manafort
- Rick Gates
- Roger Stone
- Steve Bannon
The newly obtained subpoena, as the Axios report points out, was sent out “last month”, meaning it could have been a couple of weeks or nearly two months ago. Why is the timeline important?
Because, as Bill Palmer points out, “This may have been sent before or after Steve Bannon spilled his guts to Robert Mueller, but it does tell us that Mueller was actively pursuing Bannon-related evidence at some recent point. Keith Schiller was with Donald Trump on his fateful “Pee Pee Tape” trip to Russia. Hope Hicks just resigned.”
Undoubtedly, these people are going to regret the day they decided to get involved with Donald Trump, his campaign, and his presidency.
